POLA AND A VERY DIFFICULT FIGHT WITH LEUKEMIA…

Dear all,
In February 2015 our 8-year-old then daughter, Pola, became ill with an aggressive form of leukaemia. She underwent cancer treatment and after two years, in Feb 2017, we received wonderful news from her oncologist, who advised that the treatment was successful. Our lives began to return to normal. Pola, after a long break, could once again play with her two younger brothers, return to school, and participate in all the regular activities a child her age normally would.

Tragically, our happiness brought on by her return to health was short lived; in October 2017 our world was torn apart by the fact that Pola needs to fight this deadly disease again… This time however, it is far more challenging as Pola’s body is severely exhausted by the previous treatments.
There is new medication available that has a promising success rate and can cure Pola. Unfortunately, this medication is very expensive, is not covered by the public health system,and is beyond our financial ability – but we are not giving up!

We are working with Kawalek Nieba Foundation (translation – A Piece of Heaven Foundation) to collect the necessary means to go ahead with this therapy to save our child.
