WE HEARED THE WORST – RECANCER OF METALLASED CANCER IN OUR BELOVED DAUGHTER ZOSIA
When Zosia went to the hospital in November 2021, we did not expect a diagnosis: NEUROBLASTOMA – one of the most aggressive cancers in children.
Since then, Zosia has undergone several surgeries, hundreds of tests, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and the oncology ward has become her second home.
Unfortunately, when the treatment was coming to an end, we heard the worst: RELAPSE.
Further research; tomography, resonance imaging, scintigraphy, surgery, removal of the tumor and kidney. Zosia is in a high-risk group and a very intensive multi-stage treatment is planned.
Again, we face exhausting cycles of chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and dealing with the side effects of treatment.
The hope for Zosia is further intensive treatment, potentially abroad, with innovative methods at the stage of clinical trials and a vaccine against another relapse in the USA
