LENY LITTLE WORRIOR – WE FIGHT WITH BINOCULAR RETINOBLASTOMA CANCER
It was September 13th, 2018 when our retinoblastoma story began. A consultation with an ophthalmologist finished with the diagnosis: changes in macula – suspected cancer. The diagnosis was confirmed after our little son, Leonard, had been examined, under anaesthesia, in The Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. Leonard, was eventually diagnosed with binocular retinoblastoma malignant cancer. The treatment started immediately at Oncology Clinique, The Children’s Memorial Health Institute. Our happy, smiling, loving animal and car lover found himself in the world of pain, tears and fear. Suffering visible on his face suffering broke our hearts. His safe house and favourite playground had to be replaced with hospital beds, operating theatres and, consequently, he needed to undergo numerous painful medical interventions.
After five month of continuous struggling for Leonard’s eyes and life, due to both technically and genetically limited treatment possibilities, after medical consultation we decided to treat our son in the USA.
From the bottoms of our hearts, we ask all people of goodwill, who are not insensitive to suffering and want to safe life and eyesight, to enable Leny to be treated in Dr Abramson’s Clinique in New York. We kindly ask for your donation. We are really short of time. Retinoblastoma is known to be a serious malignant cancer, therefore we would be grateful for any kind of support.
