LITTLE HANIA AND THE FIGHT AGAINST A VERY DANGEROUS DISEASE
My name is Hania, I am 8 years old and I would like to share my story with you. I have a rare and serious disease called severe aplastic anemia. This disease has affected my family and me in unexpected and special ways, limiting my opportunities and affecting my daily life. Therefore, I am asking for financial support to help me fight this difficult disease.
Aplastic anemia is a disease of the hematopoietic system that causes my bone marrow to stop producing red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. This is very serious because the lack of healthy blood cells can lead to serious complications such as infections or hemorrhages, which can be life-threatening in this disease.
Treatment of this disease is very long and very expensive. It requires regular blood transfusions, medications that are not reimbursed for this disease, and a bone marrow transplant. My family is fighting for my health, but is burdened with significant treatment costs.
Therefore, I am asking you for financial support that will allow me to continue treatment and give me a chance for a healthy and normal childhood.
We cooperate with the “Kawałek Nieba” (eng. “Peace of Heaven”) – Foundation for Aid to Children and Sick People, which will help collect funds and allocate them for my treatment and other needs related to the disease.
