Her carefree world turned into a nightmare on August 2, 2023, when we were devastated to learn she had a brainstem glioma — a monster that settled in her little head.A cruel twist of fate that shattered everyday worries and reminded us how fragile life can be.Zuzia, our little heroine, is facing a ruthless enemy head-on, even though doctors currently have no magic cure. And yet, she fights — bringing us an example of courage and determination every single day.
Zuzia is currently staying at the Children’s Health Center in Warsaw. Her smile — though it sometimes requires great effort — is like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds of darkness. When we look at her, we see not just the illness, but an incredible strength and will to live.
Faced with helplessness, family and friends are searching for help across the world.Specialist consultations and attempts to qualify for clinical trials have become their everyday reality. They are determined — because their little warrior is worth every effort. But this fight comes with enormous financial costs, which the family may not be able to cover on their own.
Zuzia also has a 2-year-old brother whose eyes shine with hope and love for his sister. At her preschool, friends miss her deeply, and her place remains empty — like a missing spark in the entire building.
